SkillsMP is a community marketplace for AI agent skills. It gives assistants task-specific behavior through modular SKILL.md files. That turns a general model into a focused helper for real work.

It auto-indexes GitHub repositories and collects open-source skills for coding, DevOps, research, and writing. That matters when teams need consistent behavior across Claude Code, VS Code, and Google Antigravity. It also keeps the setup portable across workspaces and repos.

How It Works
Users install modular skill files directly into a project workspace. Those files can live in Git, so the same instructions travel with the codebase. That gives every teammate the same AI behavior without repeating prompts.

That workflow is handy when a team wants reproducible automation. It also pairs well with understanding GitHub repos and with team-wide AI skills already published on Technolati. The setup stays local, versioned, and easy to share.
- Find a skill in the marketplace.
- Copy the SKILL.md file into your workspace.
- Commit the file to Git for team reuse.
- Let your AI assistant pick up the new behavior.
The catch is quality control. A huge public index also means uneven quality, duplicates, and occasional weak instructions. Users still need to review skills before trusting them in production.
The Verdict
SkillsMP solves the blank-canvas problem for AI assistants. It gives teams a faster path to specialized behavior without custom prompt work every time. The value is real, but the review burden stays on the user.
